Exhaust faults are usually heard before they are seen. Beyond noise, a leak ahead of the sensors upsets the fuel mixture, and a blocked diesel particulate filter will put a modern diesel into limp mode.
Louder than it used to be, especially on acceleration
Rattle from underneath the car
Diesel showing a DPF warning or going into limp mode
Smell of exhaust inside the cabin
Full system inspection from manifold to tailpipe
Leak location and section replacement
Muffler and resonator replacement
Catalytic converter efficiency testing
Diesel particulate filter diagnosis and forced regeneration
Oxygen sensor testing
Mounting and hanger replacement
Section repairs cost far less than full system replacement. Catalytic converters and particulate filters are the expensive components; we confirm the fault before recommending either.
We quote before starting. If the job changes once the car is on the hoist, we call you rather than adding it to the invoice.
