Accessibility

We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a standard we work to rather than a certification we hold, and parts of the site will fall short of it from time to time.

Body text is set above a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background, and large text above 3:1. Colour is never the only way information is conveyed: form errors are stated in text and linked to the field they belong to.

Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and the focus outline is visible against both the light and dark parts of the site. A skip link is the first thing in the tab order.

Animation respects your system reduced-motion setting. With it enabled, entrance movement is replaced by a short crossfade, and content never depends on an animation running in order to appear.

Touch targets are at least 44 pixels. The booking form saves your answers as you go, so a dropped connection or an accidental reload does not cost you the form.

Photography on the site is currently stock imagery. Alt text describes each image, but the photographs are not of this workshop, and will be replaced.

The vehicle make and model selectors are long lists. We are looking at type-ahead filtering to make them faster to operate with a screen reader.
